CYCLING
Surrounded by some of the world's most iconic cycling, there's a reason why the Tour de France comes to visit every year!
We both ride and after welcoming many cyclists through our door, we like to think that we provide just that little bit extra that will make all the difference to your trip here.
We are ideally situated a gentle warm up from the start of the climbs to Col d'Aspin and Col du Tourmalet and The Lourdes Valley, gateway to climbs such as Hautacam and Soulor/Aubisque, is nearby. See an outline map below. However, it doesn't have to be 'Col-bashing' - head into the foothills east or west of us or to the plains north and you will find a route to suit all levels of rider. If you're wanting to travel a little further in a day, talk to us about transportation support.
Ride Like a Local
Adding our personal knowledge to the countless maps, guides and gpx files we have here, we will be able to provide you with plenty of support to ensure you get the most of your time on the bike. This of course extends to telling you about our favourite coffee, lunch and cake stops along the way!
Talking of food
The French bread and croissant that many hotels offer are delicious but we know that to get the best from a ride, you may be looking for a little bit more to set yourself up for the day. This is why we also offer porridge, cooked eggs, cereals, yoghurts and fruit as standard.
For mid-ride we have nutrition bars and electrolyte tabs available to purchase at cost price and we pride ourselves on the extensive research we have done on the best cafés and bakeries!
Post-ride, there are always free snacks on hand to fill a gap. Evening meals are generous and whilst we propose menus, we are very happy to flex our offering, depending on what people are after.
Mountain biking
Road biking gets most of the attention in this area because of the Tour de France, however the mountain biking is fantastic, with 100km's of clearly marked trails of all levels to discover
Group bookings
If your group takes all 5 rooms, as well as a discounted price, you’ll find that we are able to flex our daily timetable and menu offerings to your specific needs. If you have a big day on the road planned, breakfast can start earlier, dinner can be earlier or later and if you want a huge pasta party – no problem!
LE TOUR 2023
Men's Race: The Col du Tourmalet will get to show off it's face lift on the 6th July after the riders have already completed the beautiful Col d'Aspin and before going on to the little-known climb of Cambasque.
Women's Race: The only mountain stage of the race finishes at Tourmalet on the 29th July and the final stage, the Individual TT will be at Pau the following day, an easy day trip for our guests.
We still have availability for what are undoubtedly going to be two thrilling stages of the Women's race - don't hesitate to get in touch.
OTHER SERVICES
These are just a few of the other services we provide guests that we like to think make the different to their stay:

There are several local suppliers that we use for bike hire and we will happily help you with the arrangements necessary. Contact us if you'd like more information.
Workshop & storage
We have a large, secure workshop, equipped with basic tools for you to use and a wash-down area. Spare tubes, energy bars and gels are available to purchase and post-ride snacks are complementary.
